How to buy and collect NFT assets (in more detail)
1. Join the cryptocurrency exchange- Coinbase, and get verified by uploading a a state or federal i.d. (SEC regulations).
2. Buy the crypto called sol from Coinbase. The amount of sol you buy needs to be a little more than the price of the NFT you intend to purchase, in order to accommodate processing fees.
3. Get a digital wallet at solflare.io. After creating a wallet you will be given a Key Phrase. It is a sequence of 24 random words. DO NOT LOSE THIS. Your key phrase is very important. It is the key to your digital wallet. Write it down, keep the paper in a safe and private place. Also download the key phrase file and copy it to a flash or hard drive.
4. Using your new wallet address from Solflare, send the money from Coinbase to your digital wallet. The wallet address is an address on the blockchain where your crypto, and NFTs will be sent and stored. It is displayed a random array of letters and numbers found at the top of your solflare browser window.
5. Log into solsea.io, the NFT marketplace, and select “connect your wallet”
6. Then explore collections to find an 𝐍𝐅𝐓. For my collection search McElroy Art Assets in the collections search bar.
7. Proceed to purchase.
